BAJA CALIFORNIA
2019 - 2022
Despite having lived for so many years in a place so close to Mexico, Baja California is, sadly, the only Mexican state I've visited so far. Baja California is the northern and westernmost state of Mexico, and comprises the northern half of the Baja California Peninsula. The Mediterranean climate of the northwest makes this region with valleys—such as the Valle de Guadalupe—the major wine-producing territory in Mexico. Valle de Guadalupe has become an increasingly popular tourist destination for its culinary scene—characterized by an emerging wine market and an exquisite farm-to-table cuisine that combines fresh, locally produced Mexican and Mediterranean ingredients—a destination worth revisiting again and again.
